Sealing and waterproofing stucco Ames'® Super Primer™, Paint & Prime® 25-Year, Block & Wall™ and Clear Seal™ have an affinity for concrete and stucco. These products are formulated to penetrate and bond to stucco and concrete walls to create a durable, waterproof surface. They will bond to most stucco, including synthetic stucco. The products expand and contract with the surface and will bridge hairline cracks. Super Primer, Paint & Prime®, Block & Wall, and Clear Seal protect the surface and help substantially to prevent wind-driven rain from penetrating the stucco. Ames'® Super Primer is a unique, elastomeric, penetrating plastic sealant, primer and adhesive for concrete, stucco, and many hard-to-stick surfaces. It is a pure acrylic designed especially to seal and create adhesion to concrete and stucco.

Stucco is a porous concrete that water can penetrate. Super Primer penetrates deeply into stucco to actually bind with the surface it is being applied to. It plasticizes and waterproofs stucco. Plasticizing strengthens the surface by binding the primer to the stucco on the molecular level. Rotting and deteriorating surfaces can be restored to a somewhat new condition and often the surface life can be extended for one or more years of usefulness.

Super Primer strengthens and helps preserve surfaces from mildew and moss formation, and helps substantially to stop concrete efflorescence. With up to 100 to 300% elasticity, Super Primer is able to move with the surface as it expands and contracts. Super Primer is highly resistant to cracking and peeling.

It is easy to apply, simply roll, brush, or spray it on. Super Primer is pearlescent white in liquid form, and dries to a clear finish. Super Primer dries rapidly to a slight tack in 10 - 20 minutes at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and even faster with sun contact.

Paint & Prime® 25-Year is our premium interior/exterior, all-in-one, water-base pure acrylic latex paint and primer built into a single product. Paint & Prime 25-Year is high-hide and will cover most stains. This fine product comes with a 25-year quality guarantee.

Paint & Prime® is an excellent choice for waterproofing stucco, concrete walls and other masonry, wood, and metal surfaces. This thick bright white coating may be thinned prior to spraying. It simply cleans up with water. It has excellent scrub ability and chalk resistance. It is a fast drying product and is formulated to resist fungus, mold, and mildew. With over 2.5 lbs of Titanium, it is truly the finest paint ever made. It is easily tintable to 2000 colors with most water-based tint formulations at local hardware stores.

Ames'® Block & Wall™

Ames'® Block & Wall is the highest quality acrylic plastic waterproofing coating on the market today. It paints as it waterproofs, and is tintable to pastel colors. It is elastomeric.

Ames' Block & Wall is a waterproofing sealant for exterior walls, and is excellent for stucco. It stops leaks fast. It is heavy duty yet easily applied by brush, roller, or sprayer, and it dries to form a waterproof seal and vapor barrier to keep water and moisture out. This elastomeric sealant and block filler expands and contracts up to 500%. It is highly resistant to cracking and peeling, and remains flexible even at -35°F.

Block & Wall is ideal for stucco and is generally applied with Ames Super Primer, a clear coating that has a remarkable affinity for concrete and stucco. Block & Wall covers tar coated walls, brick or block walls, interior and exterior basement walls, pre-treated plywood, sheet metal, plastic, pre-cast concrete, sheetrock, wood, and drywall. Block & Wall waterproofing paint is a lasting investment for your project. Unlike many other types of products, this product completely blocks water seepage.

WHAT IS CLEAR SEAL?
Ames® Research Laboratories' Clear Seal is a unique, semi-clear elastomeric plastic sealant and adhesive for wood and concrete. It penetrates deeply into wood and concrete to glue and bind together the molecules of the surface it is being applied to. Rotting and deteriorating surfaces can be restored to a somewhat new condition and often the surface life can be extended for one or more years of usefulness.

Clear Seal helps prevent concrete efflorescence. More than a water repellent, Clear Seal penetrates deeply into concrete to seal against water damage and seepage. With 300% elasticity, Clear Seal is able to move with the surface as it expands and contracts. Clear Seal is highly resistant to cracking and peeling and will seal wood and concrete for many years.

Ease of application makes Clear Seal perfect for the ‘Do-It-Yourselfer’. It dries rapidly to a beautiful, semi-clear, semi-glossy finish. Clear Seal may foam if applied with a brush. Spray application is recommended.

Clear Seal is water base, nearly odorless, non-flammable, and contains no dangerous pesticides. Clear Seal may be applied to most previously coated surfaces.
